The authentic Footsie Roller was first manufactured in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the early 1970s and then sold to the Ma-Roller Company in about 1980. To my knowledge, it was the first massage tool sold in U.S. health food stores & gift shops, and is the father of all massage tools.
