How
does the Relax Sauna compare to other Portable Saunas ?
The Relax Sauna (made in Taiwan) is the only portable Sauna in the
world that uses a special technology, i.e. a semi-conductor
chip. This makes the Relax Sauna not only unique, but also more
effective than any other portable (or wooden) sauna. The Relax
Sauna technology is listed as a medical device with the FDA. (Our
510(k) # is K053376.) The FDA has verified that the invisible
light rays produced by the Relax Sauna radiators are between 4 - 14
microns, which means that these rays are 100% absorbable Far Infrared
Light, which we call healing light. The Relax Sauna
patented ceramic semi-conductor chips filters out all non-healing
energies, which can be a distraction for absorbing the pure healing FIR
light.
All other rays of light (including Near Infrared) are NOT
absorbable by the human body, and are usually therefore resisted by the
body, and in the case of Ultra Violet Light, which is very strong, can
cause not only resistance, but tension, friction, and then sun tan
and/or sun burn. We have observed that all other portable saunas
(There are many companies in China making these.) use panels consisting
of a piece of far infrared clothing (a cloth impregnated with carbon),
and some kind of heating element to heat the cloth. It appears
that this technology generates mainly far infrared and near infrared
light energy, of which about 20-30% of this light is Far Infrared
Absorbable light. We cannot find any of these companies
declaring how much of the light generated is actually far infrared
healing light. From experience, we know the Relax Sauna
“feels so much better”, and takes a lot less time to complete a
sweating treatment than any of these other less expensive saunas.
The technology of the Relax Sauna is light waves (no pun intended)
ahead of the “primitive” technology used in other portable
saunas. To their credit, the Saunas do produce some good
results, and 25% FIR Light is certainly better than none. So we
recognize the role these saunas do play in the promotion of the healing
affects of Far Infrared Light. We don’t however believe, they
have the intensity to heal large diabetic ulcers in 7 weeks, 20 minutes
a day, as The Relax Sauna technology has shown itself able to do.
The Relax Sauna generates a very PURE Far Infrared Light, as well as a
very Intense FIR light. The Relax Sauna also uses 1400 watts,
while most of the other portable saunas only use about 1000 watts, and
thus do not generate as strong a healing light.
The Relax Sauna also uses a reflecting tent which mirrors the healing
light to all parts of your body. In order to absorb FIR light,
one needs to be within about a foot of the source of light. By
using silver embedded in the outside cloth surrounding the Relax Sauna
tent, the FIR light penetrates into our body about 2 inches, and then
what light does not penetrate continues going through our body, our
clothes, the chair, etc, and in turn hits the mirror-like surface of
the Relax Sauna tent, bounces off and continues in the other
directions, until in about 1 second, every part of our body is
absorbing this healing light from every nook and cranny of the
tent.
We have found that the Relax Sauna technology works in about 1/2 the
time of other portable sauna technologies. Generally it
just takes about 8 minutes to start sweating in the relax sauna,
compared to 18 minutes in most other portable saunas. In 20
minutes, you can experience a total sweating treatment, as compared to
about 55 minutes in other portable saunas. We have also found
that many individuals who have purchased Relax Saunas from us have
previously owned other portable saunas that they were very disappointed
with, in that they did not sweat and did not get hot enough.

How
does the Relax Sauna compare to wooden FIR Saunas ?
We have sold a number of Relax Saunas to those who already own wooden
Far Infrared Saunas, and for which they paid 3 or 4 times the cost of
the Relax Sauna. One main reason they have decided to purchase
the Relax Sauna is that they do not like waiting 20 minutes or so for
their sauna to heat up. Those who own spas cannot service their
customers on demand as well for the same reason. The Relax Sauna
heats up instantly, and in 20 seconds one can feel the healing light
that penetrates, and is absorbed by the body. We have been told
by many that they like the fact that your head is NOT inside the
Sauna. One lady who was giving a talk after one of our
talks was so excited that she finally found a sauna that she could
recommend to people because of that feature.
The Relax Sauna is the only sauna that uses a patented semi-conductor
chip that guarantees 100% FIR Light. No wooden sauna can match
this technology. Some use carbon; others use ceramic chips.
But the Semi-conductor chip used by the relax sauna is documented by
the FDA to emit 100% absorbable Far Infared Light (between 4 and 14
microns), and technologically appears to be far more advanced than the
technologies used by other saunas. The Relax Sauna
technology is also listed with the FDA as a medical device. Not all
wooden saunas are 100% Far Infrared Light, nor are they
necessaily Medical devices.
